Great
news! I have
been able to get hold of a copy of a WYSIWYG web page generator! I can now make
web pages with all the fun things they are supposed to have these days, you
know, like counters (mine's at the bottom!). I had to get a WYSIWYG program, because
I don't understand HTML. If all this seems a little beyond you, don't worry
- I don't understand half of it, anyway! Anyway, let's go on with the show! This site, for those of you that don�t know, is dedicated to the humble Morris Minor, built between, well, 1948 and 1971, surprisingly enough. As you may have gathered, this is the post-war Morris. For information on the pre-war Morris Minor (yes they made one - the first �100 car - just after the �29 depression. Everyone thought they were mad, but as a sale-pitch it worked!) the Morris Minor Owner�s Club has recently done a feature on this which can be read from their website. See the �Favourite Sites� page for more details. Right, well... How did I arrive at the name? Well, I thought of everything Minor-oriented that I could. All the best ones were gone - "The New Four Inches", "TheMinorSite" &c. - so this was the best I could come up with. Having said that, I quite like it, even if no-one understands it, and I can�t afford a dotcom address. There is the tale that when presented with the prototype of the little car Lord Nuffield dismissed it as a �poached egg�, so now you know as much as I do! Stick this page in your favourites so you come back and visit us in �Minorland�. Go on, you know you want to! Anyway, you never know, I may have updated the page again by your next visit... ...maybe. |
