Navigation Bar Index This is the first page of PoachedEgg About Us Details of Phyllis, and of course myself. For details of who Phyllis is, and how she came to be, read on! Days Out Herein are the days out I've had with Phyllis. She's in daily use, so it's been limited to shows, and the like. Sorry. Gallery There's a couple of pics of Phyllis here. If you've got a Minor, send me a pic and I'll post it here! Favourite Sites This is basically a section of my Favourites folder! Why not have a look? Garage I've put details of all the work I've done on the rolling-resto and any work I plan to do! If there are any problems, comments, or queries with the site, please mail me at: |

This was the first rally I attended, and unfortunately, the first time I broke down
:( Read all the sordid details (and resolution, of course) here. I went to this on the off chance of getting some bits for my Minor. I didn't go in Phyllis (shame on me!) but I did manage to bring some presents back for her! |
These
pages
are
devoted
to
the
days out I have
had
with
Phyllis.
Since
she
is
in daily use, I
thought
it
best
to
limit
it
to shows, and the like:
you
dont
really
want
to
know
about my daily trek
through
the
Worcestershire
countryside,
do
you?
Well,
tell
me
if
you
do,
or
indeed if you pass
me and
my
Morris
on
the
way,
wed love to hear from
you!
In hindsight however, that may not have been such as wonderful idea, since Ive only been to two organised events! Fret ye not though, because I am fully aware that all work and no play makes Phyllis a dull girl, and as such shes on a promise to be taken out as regularly as I can manage. I can hear weekend shows in the Midlands calling already! The MMOC Cars in the Park in Lichfield has gone straight into my calendar!! I had wondered about the possibility of taking the old girl on the London to Brighton Fun Run, but taking her from Birmingham to London is almost as far as the round trip from London to Brighton!! Then Id have to stop over at least once, and it could all go horribly wrong... I wonder if they could alter the destination? How about the Birmingham to Oxford run? No? I suppose it doesnt have the same ring to it, does it? Although the dreaming spires are quite appealing... I think I might go down for the day sometime in the future (so long as it doesnt rain - Im a bit sick of gravitationally-induced precipitation!!). To tell you the truth, Im getting a bit disheartened with the rally situation. Ive looked about and the only ones that are on nearby seem to be staged with an emphasis on family fun - you know the kind of thing, garden centres and living museums. There is one rally that looks good - its at the side of the River Severn, and you take a picnic. Thats it - a chance to meet other Minor owners and sit in the sun. The only thing is, when it is on, Im on holiday, without Phyllis! Discraceful (!) Ill have to look for Classic Car events, not just ones for the MMOC, I fear. Anyway: gripe over. |
